A 2014 study found that small businesses spent an average of 20 hours a week on their marketing efforts. With the growing complexity of online marketing, it makes sense that local businesses spend more time on marketing year-over-year in order to accommodate all the different types of marketing tactics available to them, such as social media marketing, search engine advertising, SEO, display advertising, and more.
Last month, we surveyed local business owners and marketers to learn how they were planning to market their business in 2016. When we asked how much time they are planning to spend on their marketing next year, a whopping 84% of respondents said they plan to spend more time on marketing in 2016 than they did in 2015.
It’s great to see that local business have noticed the importance of a strong marketing presence and are planning to spend more time marketing their businesses in 2016.
