
When we asked our readers what local businesses should stop doing in their online marketing 2015, 30 percent answered “Having a non-mobile website.” As we begin this new year, the evidence for having a mobile-friendly or mobile-responsive website is overwhelming, and, business owners and consumers alike agree that it’s a top priority for 2015. What else should businesses stop doing in 2015 when it comes to their digital marketing? 28% of our respondents said sending calls to voicemail. And, at 14% each, respondents said having outdated local listings, advertising in print directories, and using Facebook in place of a business website are all things businesses should stop doing in their online marketing this year.
