ReachLocal Reaches Out: 2011 Volunteering and Community Service

At ReachLocal, we’re passionate about all things local. So when it comes to reaching out to our local communities during the holidays, many of us know it’s our time to shine. Take a look at how some ReachLocal offices have been busy donating their time, resources and seasonal cheer to local neighbors in need.

This year, ReachLocal Dallas was busy with a number of efforts, including: assembling and distributing personal care kits to distribute to a local shelter, hosting a canned food drive, and contributing to a toy drive for the Salvation Army.

ReachLocal Austin volunteered at Christian Outreach Afterschool Program, where they gave presents and played with all the kids. And ReachLocal Milwaukee helped out at their local Salvation Army for the holiday Toys for Tots drive.

ReachLocal Phoenix reached out this season by delivering gifts to children, and  prepping and serving lunch to almost 800 individuals in need at the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

And ReachLocal New York put together and handed out care packages at a local soup kitchen in Midtown NYC.

The holidays are a wonderful time to reach out and give back to your local community. Did your business drive any social good efforts in 2011, or are you inspired to volunteer in 2012? Let us know with a comment!
