We are thrilled to share that our parent company Gannett has acquired SweetIQ, a powerhouse in the local listings and reputation management space. Sweet IQ’s solutions will become an integral part of ReachLocal’s digital marketing suite.
SweetIQ focuses on helping large national brands and franchises manage their local listings, store locator pages, and reviews through software and data solutions that scale. The company today powers over 250 brands and marketing agencies, covering over 50,000 brick and mortar locations across Canada and the United States, including many in the Fortune 500. Based out of Montreal, Canada, with a sales office in Irvine, California, they have over 100 employees. We’re excited to be expanding the ReachLocal physical office footprint with the addition of their team and offices.
“Businesses want to work with one company that they can trust to help them with all of their digital marketing efforts,” said Sharon Rowlands, chief executive officer of ReachLocal. “This acquisition adds strong product offerings in local listings and reputation management to our suite of digital marketing solutions and strengthens our value proposition with multi-location and national brands. By adding SweetIQ to our portfolio, we can further provide our customers with data-driven insights that drive real-world results.”
“We are thrilled to be joining the Gannett and ReachLocal team,” said Mohannad El-Barachi, chief executive officer of SweetIQ. “Since inception, we have had an unwavering commitment to solving online-to-offline attribution and help businesses better connect with hyper-local consumers. By leveraging Gannett and ReachLocal’s large salesforces and deep relationships, we will be able to quickly expedite reaching these goals and further propel our rapid growth, cementing our position as a market leader in location and reputation management.”
At ReachLocal, our mission is to help deliver more customers to companies across the globe, and we have long understood the immense value of helping businesses build a strong organic presence and bridge online activity with their physical conversions – such as a phone call or foot traffic.
